Advendt Calender

Done with the Advendt Calender!
And I think my parents are excited :) wish it was a calender for me, but it is not.. and it would seem rather odd if I had indeed made one for myself!
Though I cannot help but long for one, when I see all of the amacing ideas people some up with!

A panting I have never finished.. still needs to fix the eyes...

I am not bored..

Yes - I used over 2 hours today coloursorting my paper scraps!

A finished project

My blue lacescarf...

Decided to try and block it.. I think that will make the pattern stand more out. - but sadly it takes a hell of a time to block it!! (my first time trying it)

A part of my mom and dads christmas present this year, from my brother and I, is an Advent Kalender.
So this is the fabric I have bought to wrap the gifts in - 24 pieces.

I am getting a new pair of lamps to hang above my bed. They are made out of brass, but they have this horrible white cord that just ruin the lamps! So instead, I have bought this moss green cord. Way expensive, but hey I have no money - so ehm no worries......

Something for myself

I am sure a lot of you agree with me - when I say, that it is just not as fun and exciting to make things for oneself, as it is to make something for someone else!

But I feel that I am pretty well prepared for christmas, and today was the forst day for a long time, that I finally felt like working on some stuff for myself.

I have a lovely grey cardigan and a short green jacket on the needles at the moment.
And they are both in the softest yarn ever:)

Tomorrow evening it is traditional christmas dinner - night:)

Decided it was time to bake.
First time I bake loafs of bread in this apartment and not home at my parents
The round ones are sunflower breads and the other one is a oatmeal-bread. Hope they taste well!

Here I am sewing triming onto a pillowcover... not at all easy, and still need to figure out what to do with the end of this triming... I am pretty sure, what ever solution I find, it will not be pretty!

This, is some of my mothers birthday presents.
A couple of legwarmers ( made by me), a knitting bag ( from "Tulipaner og Tomater") and two Christmas ornaments - glass cones.

star- garlands

And he, does not really need any introduction does he?!

New project

I have just started knitting this one...
The yarn is "Isager" - yarn, pretty expensive.
50% Alpaca, 50% wool
Bought it 2 years ago, and have tried knitting 2 different sweaters of it, but none suceeded.. so here I go again.

Me on a bike
- it is just not safe!

Had to visit a friend of mine today - living almost 8 km ( 5 miles) from me.
The thing is, when I have to go somewhere I have never been before, I normally check out the route on the internet first - which I also did this time!
But I still managed to get VERY lost
( meaning I had to call my brother 3 times to make him find out where I was, and how to get on from there)

To put it simply
Going there = took 1½ hour
Going back = took 40 min

What am I doing

I am in the progress of changing my sleeping pattern.
As it is now, I easily do not go to bed before 2 a.m. and easily do not get up before 1 p.m.
And that does so not work!

My biggest problem is to get up - I just do not want it enough.

You have to remember that I am just at home. I have no job og school I have to get up to.

During a normal day:
I, knit/embroidery/work with paperstuff
I,watch TV
I, read blogs
I, write posts on my blog
I, sometimes cook
I, do yoga
But NONE of it is important enough for me to want ot get up!

What shall I do?
*Pull away my curtains to reveal the light
*To actually do something that does not involve my TV or Computer!
*Go for walks with the cat
*Take bath in the morning to wake up

Any Ideas?

I should probably mention that it is not because I am lazy I cannot do things - but becauseI got Social Fobia and have a mild depression.

An embroidery I have been working on before...
A set of 3 thai-motive embroideries.
Yesterday though, I decided it was time to work on it again - But with a twist.
Originally they are made of only one colour - but now they are made of a lot. It'll take quite some more time, but I think it will be worth it!

Stiching a edging of sequins on to one of the pillowcowers.

Been stiching press studs onto the pillowcowers - still need to do it on the last ( I am making 4 pillowcovers in all)

gifts on the way

Been sewing! Not my strong side, but I really want to get better - and the only way to do that, is by practise.
I made a couple of mistakes, but chose to pull it up, and start over - and I am so happy I did!

I no longer nap during the day! WUHUU

The little cat lying on my bed, resting - as I should be doing --> hence it is night!
Instead I have been putting all of my stars and newly bought ribbon out - so that I can put them together tomorow.

I still have 30 I haven't finished -> but they will definatly be the last ones I make this year!!
Looking forward to sewing the stars onto ribbon - and seeing the final result:)

A small collection of some of the cards I have been making:)
Using: pencils, crayons, glitterglue, paper scraps ect.

This, is the scarf I am working on at the moment - I am done very soon - hurray!

Copenhagen and biking

Copenhagen truly is a biking-city!
I just read on Wikipedia that 36% of the population in Copenhagen use their bikes as their main transportation.
(I kinda thought it was more!)

There are cycle paths over most of Copenhagen.
Young people and young families use bikes as their main transportaion in Copenhagen
- hence it is free.
Luckily Copenhagen is a very flat town, with very few hills!

But there are shockingly little who wear a biking helmet!

But this, is mine!! GREEN:) ( from "triple 8")

smiling, almost all the time..

To have a positive lifestyle

It is important to rember who you are, and accepct that!
To have bad days once in a while
To sometimes forget things
To remember the small things..
To not take things too seriously
To enjoy a piece of chocolat
To take the time to smell a flower, or to watch the sky
To not let a bad morning ruin your day
To let no one get you down!

This is a picture that really makes me smile!
My two favorite guys in the world!
--> My father and "my" cat :)

Today I bought 2 christmasgifts at a fleamarket - really happy about them!
I also got 2 frames for a couple of old pictures I would like to put up on my family wall, and an awsome jacket:)

slowly getting better

I really feel like I am doing an effort to train my body.
I do not train it, so that I can get slimmer
- but to try and avoid the pain I get every day in my arms, hands, shoulders, shoulderblades, neck and back.

YOGA is the answer

Do you have any experience with yoga?

Home on weekend at my parents

I have just raided my mothers cassettes filled with different kinds of cardboard!
So now I have gold cardboard , lots of allready cut cards, and the good sort of cardbord in some different colours

Oh - and she does not mind.
We used to make our own cards.. but we never do anymore, so now it is only I who use the cardboard.

I have also made about 15 stencils for cutting in cardboard.

So I got tons of things to do!
