We hardly bought any new paper or ribbons for this years christmas wrapping!
So this was our selection...
of course I forgot to take pictures of the wrapped gifts... but they looked so good:)
Because I made gift tags as leaves of holly in matching colours to the ribbon...
 different greens, blues, and reds:)

Christmas decorations

These are my favorite christmas decorations for the tree.
Our Christmas tree is always decorated with a lot of different things - everything is different and uniqe

Christmas eve at family...putting all of the presents under the tree:)

I am pretty happy with the gifts I made this year for for chrismas - can't wait to figure out what to make for people next christmas and to start making them:) Maybe a bit freaky, I like to have good time in December so that I can really enjoy Christmas instead of stressing around!

This, is our christmas tree... 4.4 meters or so..pretty high! We had to use a ladder to decorate half of the tree..
One year my dad and brother came home with a 7 meter high tree.. That was a bit too high!
So after cutting of a couple of meters, we realised that tree was not so pretty in the branches at that hight - so they had to go and pick a new tree!
That is Christmas at my parents:)

See how far I am! Very happy about it! I shan't use it for 10 months, but I still look forward to the point where it is done:)

So this is an embroidery I finished before the summerholiday - but started on 4 years ago or so...
Now I just need to make it into a pillowcover...at some point..

Monday, 14 December 2009

I have been laying low for some time.. mainly because I have been feeling pretty down.

But this sunday, my parents and I went on a Trip to Aarhus and "Den Gamle by" (The Old City)
It is a museum with old houses from all over Denmark. There is a baker, a tailor and so forth, and because of Christmas there is much more activity there (People dressed in clothes typical of that period- playing residents of the city (1864 - 1927))

I still need to finish 2 Christmas presents.. I should have them done in 4 days...hopefully

My Dreams

To regain my passion for reading

To find the WILL to fight somewhere inside myself! - please be there!

To not want to sleep all day away

To feel healthy and well

To NOT have pains in my body every day!

To have the energy to cook and bake several times a week

I have many more dreams - but they are all further out in the future that these whishes!
And it is crucial for me to first manage these things, before dreaming of bigger things!

new projects..

My two newest projects!
The top picture shows a scarf I am making from leftover yarn
The buttom picture shows a "bacterius" scarf I have started on. The yarn was a advent present from my parents:)
They are both really simple, so they are the sort of work you take with you in the bus and for meetings and such.

Christmas decorations

Stars made from the paper around teabags, and old piano nodes.
Think they turned out nice enough:)

1 christmaspresent down:)

A pillowcover I have been working on for some time..
The front of the pillowcover is light purple fabric, with hand sewn flowers made from my stash of pearls ( pink redish).
The trim is dark blue twisted ribbon, and is sewn onto the edge by hand - first time I try it... and you can also see how I have chosen to fix the ends... I think it is okay, wish there was a better way, but I cannot figure it out right now.
The back is striped fabric - as you see.
The pillowcover is closed with pressstuds, and the blue buttons are just for decoration.

Second picture, my favorite christmas canister!
third picture, a garland I gave my mother for her birthday.

My own doilies

Doilies I have made for myself - 15 of them :)
At some point I would like to make some doilies in colour.. think it would look really good:)
