Fair Isle pillowcover

Pillow cover:
Made with 84 stitches
Knitted with 4,5 mm needles.
Using 6 different colours.
7 different designs from my Fair Isle book .
Fitted with a zipper.

I started wanting a project,
but couldn't afford to buy new yarn.
So I found 6 different balls of yarn from my stash.
Then I found the different designs I wanted to make
- and drew them on a piece of paper to be ready for knitting.

Headband and a failed project

 Headband motif up close

Headband:
The fair isle design is from: "200 Fair Isle designs", by Jane Mucklestone.
The motif is 24 stitches and 19 rows.
There is 6 repeats on the headband, making it 144 stitches wide.
The Headband is knitted on 2,5 mm needles.

I found it a bit too slim so I added the crocheted edge.
Can't really figure out whether I like it or not.
I will just have to wait till autumn to see whether I choose to wear it or not.

I have started on a new pair of mittens.
> And then I unravelled them again.
I found I had knitted too tightly, and then everything seemed to fail.
Which was soo frustrating you won't believe it!
And it, plus some other stuff, totally ruined my evening, and a part of today as well.

Unbelievable something like that can mess me up so much.

But, I have of course started on a new pair of mittens, to calm myself.
:)

Purple necklaces

I have made 2 crocheted necklaces.
This time purple.

The one on the left is made with wooden  beads,
several strands of sewing thread, and a 1.50 mm hook.
The one on the right is made with small beads,
several strands of sweing threads and a 0.75 mm hook.

--------------------------
Been listening to "Wives and daughters" by Elizabeth Gaskell, as an adiobook.
Really nice.
Love audiobooks!

Collage

A collage.
Made from red scraps of paper.
From teabags, notepaper, coloured envelopes, wrapping paper and a single flower I have drawn.

One day the kitty for some reason decided to start licking the windowframe,
odd kitty.

Just now

Working on a pillow cover.

Finally, got the sewing machine back ( it has been away to get repaired) .
Researching, how to make a small fabric wallet.
Working, on different projects with the sewing machine (secrets secrets).
Failing, at several things all including the elusive sewing machine.
Regretting, that I suck at sewing.
Truly hoping, practise makes perfect:)

Blue necklaces

I made two blue necklaces yesterday .
The one on the left is crocheted with wooden beads and some leftover yarn.
The one on the right is crocheted with sewing thread and small beads.

Today I sorted through some of my yarn because I saw a moth by my yarn.
I found nothing though.

But I did sort out all of the small scraps of yarns, to be kept in a seperate box.
You see all the yarn on the picture below.
Far to much for it all to fit into that small box.

So I have started on a new fair isle pillowcover.
To pass some time with.

Embroidery

I started on this embroidery 4 years ago.
It has been lying in a drawer for most of that time.
Until I recently looked at it, and decided it was time.

It is made with a single stich.
Made with lots of different blues and the branches are made with redish hues.
It has a decided lean because I have made it with a single stich as oposed to the double cross.
I really hope, that will be fixed by blocking it.
I will just have to wait and see.

I am pretty pleased it is finally, finally done.
Though I have no to clue as to what I shall use it for.
